Has anyone here attempted to rehab a property, or knows someone who attempted to rehab a property, only for city parking requirements to get in the way?

I'm looking to advocate to have the city reduce / eliminate parking requirements, especially in large parts of the city with abundant street parking. To that end, it would be helpful if anyone has any stories they'd be willing to share about parking requirements contributed to red tape that made it harder to finish a rehab.
