Capital Impact Partners is now taking applications for the fourth round of their Equitable Development Initiative (EDI) in Detroit. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, real estate in Detroit continues. Given the disproportionate impacts of this pandemic on communities of color, as well as lasting inequities developers of colors experience, it is now as important as ever that you engage in shaping the future of this region.
For the first time, they are accepting applications for both participants and partners!

Through training, technical assistance, and local mentorship, Capital Impact’s EDI program seeks to reduce barriers to entry for developers of color and strengthen their business enterprises while promoting equitable community development, particularly infill development and affordable housing for communities of color.
This cohort is planned to operate virtually, with all sessions taking place online, a method we successfully implemented with our last cohort. The unique circumstances will require participants to be entrepreneurial, analytical, collaborative, and flexible.
They are accepting applications for the Equitable Development Initiative through Sunday, November 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
If you are a developer of color focused on affordable, multi-family real estate in this region, please apply here: https://tinyurl.com/y2j6n9b2
If you are a seasoned real estate professional or you represent a community-based organization, please apply here. You could serve as a panelist, advisor, juror, and even Capstone project partner: https://tinyurl.com/y5hw3ecl
