Window Restoration Workshop

Brick + Beam Detroit is excited to present our first hands-on class on wood window restoration. The workshop will take place in a gorgeous former bank building in Hamtramck that is currently being rehabbed. And it’s a win-win situation: You’ll learn how to restore wood windows from one of the best in the business, Jim Turner, while contributing your new skills and time to the rehab of an anchor building.
We will have equipment on hand, but if you have them, please bring the following:
- Gloves
- Hand tools labeled with your name: screw drivers (Phillips and flat), hammer, scrapers (preferably carbide)
- Goggles/safety glasses
- Pry bar
- Hat (optional)
- Respirator if you have one. If you don’t have a facemask, we will provide paper ones.
Your $10 dollar deposit will be applied directly to lunch and water, which we’ll be providing.
