I purchased my duplex home as a joint effort with my lifelong best friend. We found the home through the MLS portal after it had been on the market for only 5-6 days. After seeing the property, we fell in love. It had been owned and occupied by members of the same family for 40 years, so it had been maintained and kept in great condition. Aside from some minor repairs, it was move-in ready. Thus far, we have replaced 80% of the windows in the house and refinished the lower unit's wood floors. There are many things that I love about this home, but a couple of my favorite features include the grand entry staircase that leads up to our second floor front porch (one of my favorite places to spend time with guests and observe neighborhood activities), French doors that split off the dining room and living room in both units and the attached side lot that provides ample opportunity for beautiful landscaping and gardening.
