An urban farmhouse that won us over with its eclectic personality. The Old Woodpile was inching toward demolition and on the land bank's blight list when we picked up for taxes. It took us close to two years just to figure out what to do with it and clear it out, and another year to fully gut it. A fire and water damage allowed us to reconfigure it from a single family to expand to the attic and start the road back by adding a smaller second unit that will be a rental in the long run.
