What mortar/cement is best for repointing a Michigan Basement?
Field stone walls. Some of the walls are covered in a plaster/cement and are fine. Some walls, this covering is falling off. Some areas need re-pointing. On the show "This Old House", two types of Mortar were mentioned to use. Type S and Type N. Type N is a bit softer? for flexibility. Thanks for guidance.
