We have a1950s home with Fenestra Detroit steel windows, in Michigan. Mostly all casement. Planning to replace, but I've seen some folks looking for these types of windows. How could I go about finding people who want them, and what a reasonable price is for them.
Patricia, I live in a 1930 home with the same windows and am looking for 1 to add in my kitchen. Ideally, a horizontal rectangular window but traditional will work too.
As far as where to sell them, Jim Turner of Turner Restoration would be a good person to contact. He could direct you to the best places.
Thanks,
Sarah

Do you still have the windows?
Do you still have the windows or any hardware? Patricia GM-only Ruelle
Yes - I still have a house full of Fenestra steel windows I am planning to replace by early Sept 2019. If I can find help with removing them gently before the company tears them out to replace, I will happily sell them for a very reasonable price. Have several Fenestra Steel Detroit windows, mostly casements. In good shape - no broken glass , the casement cranks work etc. Please reply this message with your contact info so I can email or text back.
please email me at [email protected]. Thanks
Patricia, this is a long shot...do you by chance have any of the windows left? I'm guessing they were all purchased or your new window company ripped them out but thought I'd ask. Thank you, Sarah
Sarah - I do have 3 windows left, some add on storms and screens, and a couple pieces of hardware - Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested.soon and you may have them for a very reasonable price. We will be selling the house where they are stored in the coming month - so time is of the essence. Thanks.

Hey! Perhaps try contacting a few of the Architectural Salvage places around town. Woodward Throwbacks, or Architectural Salvage Warehouse might be good places to start, although you'll likely get a better price if you try selling them via Facebook marketplace, craigslist, or ebay. Good luck! Those windows sound amazing.
