Grand Theft Auto Online players have uncovered a nostalgic easter egg in the game's latest update, paying homage to the iconic 2002 title, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Released by Rockstar Games on December 10, the new Agents of Sabotage update introduced a wealth of new content, including a subtle nod to one of the franchise’s most beloved entries.
The Agents of Sabotage update expands GTA Online with fresh features such as a new Garment Factory business, multi-part heist-style scores, Dispatch Work missions, and new enforcement vehicles. Fans immediately speculated about a possible GTA 6 teaser within the update, but the discovery of a Vice City reference in the FIB Files missions has sparked excitement among players.
In the final mission of the FIB Files series, titled The Fine Art, players complete three preparatory missions before stealing valuable artwork in a climactic heist. Among the stolen items is an Aztec statue, which longtime fans will recognize as one of the 100 hidden packages from Vice City. Breaking the glass case to claim the statue triggers the original pickup sound from the 2002 game, delivering a nostalgic moment for those familiar with the series.
