Brick + Beam Detroit

HI - I'm looking to do a half wall between my kitchen and dining room in my 1940 small 1.5 story brick home in Jeff-Chalm. Basically I just need someone to make the doorway bigger and cut-out / support the opening, and I will install the counter / drywall etc. Anybody have a good contractor who can do this properly? Wall could be load barring since the joists in the attic are perpendicular (even though basement joists are parallel), so I need someone who knows what they are doing.
